Cheap=Best Axle Back Exhaust..

I'm in high school, as I've ranted before, and i would love to get an axle back exhaust,
but I don't really know WHAT to look for. cheap is a key part, but as it goes, cheap can be risky, so what's rec.?

Go with a GReddy, they aren't that expensive and they are great.

how much you looking to spend?

Exhaust

I would suggest the DC sports single canister.
You can pick it up for around $300. You can definitely feel more power,
it's quiet at idle and sounds nice when your gettin' on it.

i suggest Tanabe. Check out www.ptuning.com for some great deals :clap: .

there are TONS of options out there. I'd say first go to the part reviews section of the site and browse through some of the exhausts and see what you like/don't like.

i personally had the TRD first (on the car when i got it used), which was not bad, but it sounded a bit weak and i didnt like the design as much.

i swapped it out for the GReddy Ti-C last year, and I really enjoy this exhaust. it has so much more character and has a nicer note. Plus, it's not as common as other exhausts out there... got it for $299 shipped (a great deal IMO)

Not even there are so many more that cost way more.

i like the sound of 150 bucks, 300 is just too much. besides, if i had that much i'd be saving for my rims!... which ill never get :( i dont save enough money. other things to buy.

150 shipped? is the quality/sound any good? i could easily do that...
the three on the site speed elements are all the same price... any difference between them or just pick one?

I was also looking for the best "bang for the buck" axle-back recently, and after doing much scionlife research I decided to go with the Strup. I got it for $250 with free shipping from partshippers.com. That might be out of the price range you are looking for, but when it comes to mods i think its usually better to be patient and save for the good stuff. It fits the cutout in the bumper perfectly, has a nice deep growl to it (loud IMO), gave me better acceleration after 2.5k-3k rpm, and i've noticed a slight increase in MPG (along with CAI). Most of my driving is on the highway which is where I mainly noticed the better passing acceleration. The sound clip on partshippers wasn't working the last time I checked, but there is a decent vid on youtube of an xB with a Strup and Short-ram intake installed. here is the link.

If you want performance and sound, I recommend the Strup. If you don't want to hear it so much, I'd say go with something else.

yeah I agree, really good exhuast.. all you have to do is cut a bit on the hangers so you wont bang on the side of your car when you turn to hard..
