I'd second the Ingen SR, very easy to install.

At least qualify the vote for the SR by saying that it pulls in the same air or something...

I have a K&N Typhoon CAI and I thought the install was pretty easy. K&N's website has a PDF of the installation instructions if you want to get an idea of how the install will be like.

I think in terms of difficulty of any CAI, it will all be the same. I'm not sure if your looking for a CAI or an SR, but of the two, the SR is easier to install, mainly cause you don't have to take off your front wheel and get behind the wheel well to put on the filter.

Taking off the wheel is an xA thing. For the Injen CAI, you have to remove the bumper but that's pretty easy, a dozen bolts...

I never had to take the wheel off.

Yea, I didn't take off my wheel either, but I think it makes it easier.. but removing the bumper, although easy, can be a hassel for the xBs

I didn't remove my bumper. I just moved the battery back an inch (2 bolts losened and retightened once done) and removed the assembly (1 bolt and a hanger) that holds the stock intake's air inlet near the fender.
Installing the injen SR, which draws air from the fender, took me about 1 meticulous hour. I'm ****, and I'm sure I could have finished 15min earlier if I didn't triple check everything.

What? He asked for the easiest install. Not what pulls the most air.

I think he's trying to point out that the original poster asked about Cold Air Intakes and technically, the SR isn't...

And there's a fair difference as to where the different intakes pull from. I'm working on a plan to see how much difference that really makes, but I will point out that the Injen CAI gets the filter the farthest away from the engine compartment...

Yes, thank you, saved me the explanation...

The K&N seems very similiar like the injen SR... but it angles lower. It looks like a fairly easy install.. (only the filter looks like it might be annoying to put on).

Then again, the AEM instructions (dealer version) make it seems fairly easy but it isn't. The instructions they give you are pretty crappy, but any intelligent person should be able to figure it out. To this day I still don't know how you can get the lower pipe in without unbolting the battery.

I usually go in from the bottom.

The injen short ram will give you more gains over any of the cold airs. The injen short ram is pretty much a cold air anyways, and its 100 dollars cheaper, the filter locates itself infront of the battery and plenty of cold air gets drawn up from the that whole left side bumber area. The quality is amazing and the gains are there. if you must waste your money and get a cold air intake i would get the Injen one.
