Default Options with the AEM 'dealer' CAI

So yes the dealer AEM CAI, not so hot, but we've had it since our xB was new off the lot. It's been fun but I was wondering what options I could look at, can it be disassembled and put back together in a more efficient manner? Is it just a waste of pipe, don't bother chopping it up, might as well just buy the injen.

Thoughts?

Nuts, no one? I was looking at the pipes and trying to figure out if there was any way to rip out that intake and remake it. Lame if I have to just go buy an IS2100 and be done with it. Seems more fun to experiment.
