Default Drive axle replacement

I have done a search and can't find anything on replacing the front drive axles. My XA is approaching 100k miles and I need to replace the front axles, they're starting to make some noise. HELP!

The axles won't make noise if the cv boots aren't ripped open.

Are you sure the noise is coming from the axles?

HMMMMM......The axles will make noise if the boot is not ripped if they are wearing out. Of course if your boots are ripped you need to at least replace the boot asap cause dirt will destroy the cv joint .

Do they make a clicking noise when you turn?( a good sign they are on their way out.) There is a tech section here with manuals , or check out Tomas' sig he has a link to them. Have seen many cv joints destroy the boots when they do go out ( needle bearing are so sparkly in the moon light :D 50 miles and 1 hr to closing time at the auto part store that has em to get help)

Best to raise the car and feel them if you are unsure about them, you'll feel the play in them as you rotate the wheel, they are not that hard to replace.

Try here https://www.scionlife.com/tech/manual/?manual=xb04_0001

Thanks, the boots are not ripped, checked all 4 and yes the tell tale clicking has started along with a not so nice grind/rubbing sound when the wheel is cranked over when in reverse. I have found replacements axles at Advanced auto just want some insturctions so I don't make it worse.
