Default Engine Swap?

I was wondering if a 3S-GTE engine could be put into the xB I used to have and MR2 and I loved the way it drove. A little while ago I saw a feature in HCI magazine where some guys installed a 3S-GTE in a new Celica, and I just wanted to know if it was possible. Gotta love that turbo engine.

What exactly did you love about the engine?

the engine is a great engine. a lot of tuning possibilities. the best bet for the xB would be the 4AGZE

if youve got to ask a question like this and you dont readily know... it doesnt seem like you have much experience with cars, and my answer to your question... "wondering if a 3S-GTE engine could be put into the xB?" would be no.

because you "once had an mr2" common knowledge tells you what?

i have come to realize that anything is possible is your pockets aren't empty and are very deep $$$$$$$$$$. but i agree the 4AGZE is the best bet!

Or maybe just a 4age and not the supercharged version seeing as how they stoped making 4agze's

what do you mean, by stopped making... toyota doesnt produce them anymore at all. but 4ags are easier to find as aposed to 4agzes, if thats what youre implying. an s/c setup would pep things up a bit. as well as a nicely tuned carbed 4ag, w/ cams small block, etc. but it wouldnt be able to pass smog.

What do you think the old Mr2 supercharged engine was??? On the block it is stamped 4agze, z=supercharged. So yea there is a production model 4agze, but no longer available. Now they just make 4age's with optional superchargers. The difference is production.

doing the normal 4age engine will do nothing performance wise since it is rated at lower horsepower then the engine that comes in scion. the only benefit would be a large amount of tuning parts available, but if your going to spend the money then go with the supercharged version.

tsk tsk. I had a celica motor, but sold it. Too much work, not enough motivation. I hate being the pioneer for ____ like this. someone do the swap and make a kit.

There it was twin motor scion.

Are you retarted? The Blacktop 20v is rated at 160hp and 165 ft/lbs. Thats way more then our stock engine.
