Default Fastest naturally aspirated gen1 xB

Hi guys,
I was just wondering what the specs might be for the fastest naturally aspirated xB (0-60, quarter mile, hp, etc.). I know it's not a race car by any stretch, but my curiosity has gotten the best of me.

Thanks!

You may be stirring the pot by asking this, just wrapped up something similar in the F/I section. Fastest would generally denote a time, either 1/8 or 1/4 mile. For HP I've seen 108 whp on a dynodynamics, and it wasn't all that modified (I/H/E only, no piggyback, cam, or headwork).

Yeah I know what you mean. I guess I phrased my question rather poorly. I was just curious about random just-for-fun performance gains on a naturally aspirated xB.

I am impressed...that is an 18hp or so gain or 20%!

PTuning does dyno days every year for Scions, would love for them to post the results on their site. That's where it was done, I believe it was Jeff from our MD Scikotics. I could see if he has a dyno sheet still.

I have some numbers from a naturally aspirated xb

5239 rpm
54 degrees air temp
190 degrees water temp
133 hp

car has M/T, cold air intake , header and a few little goodies , this was before adding the wet kit , which would put it into the F/I section.

they wouldn't give up a sheet , so take it with a grain of salt. But I do know this box can move.

I have not seen that to the wheels without significant money and upgrades...there was a thread about someone trying to get to 125hp NA and never got there if I recall

I would like to know what the fastest 0-60mph time is for a naturally aspirated xB...want to know what to shoot for.Actually, I havn't even been able to find a reliable time for a stock xB, just something between 8.99 sec and 9.8 sec. Also, what is the best rpm to launch at? I don't know what our horsepower is, afraid to take the car to a dyno 'cause its a daily driver. Don't want anything happening to it.

the fastest N/A first gen xB would be the one with the most weight stripped off of it. couldn't imagine that much whp coming out a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated engine.

My stock tires spin in first without any clutch dumping and I hit second once on a clean road and got a wicked chirp out of the front tires. No mods at all other than hubcaps. I read here somewhere that the stock N/A xB 1st gen gets about 85hp to the wheels when dyno'd. I guess if you could push 2nd gear to 60mph you would get a pretty good 0-60 but dang if it takes 3rd to hit 60 then . . . maybe with taller tires.

mine on the street & the fuel max tires set at 56 psi...likes about a 3K clutch drop...just the right amount of wheelspin off the line to keep from bogging....at the track with the tires down to 28psi & a little track prep it liked around 3800rpm...

I got 103.63hp/104.18 torque with bolt-ons in a low mileage manual..
At the time it had a 4-1 header, CAI, Axle Back, pulleys (crank and alt), and a TB spacer

It now has the same 4-1 header, axle back, and pulleys.. but added the WR Intake, dropped the TB spacer, and switched to a SRI.. need to get it re-done.

if you have dents all over your ride, evenly distributed, you will have a faster box.
