Default Header question - O2 or no O2 Sensor.

I am thinking of purchasing one of those "Ebay" headers and I see in the most of the descriptions that there is no hole for the O2 sensor. I know the DC Sports header has one, but I think it is the only one out there right now that does. Strup doesn't. I could be wrong.

My question is this. If I install a header with no O2 port, what do I do with the O2 sensor that goes there and are there any drawbacks to not connecting it?

TIA,
Mike

There is no O2 sensor in the header that I'm aware of. It should be in the pipe just before the catalytic converter.

You are probably right. I just realized I may have been looking at a DC Sports header picture that says it's for an xB, but the shape is wrong. The picture has a hole in the collector right before the flange and is probably for another application. Or are we both wrong? I'm a total nOOb at this stuff ... but I'm learning.

I have the Strup header and I didn't have to mess with any O2 sensors when I installed it.

Default O2

You don't want an O2 mounted right in the header. Its too hot. It needs to be just in front of the factory O2 in the down pipe. Why are you wanting to run a wideband?
