lay down a spike strip on the lane next to you.....works every time. but for real bang for buck (CAI,Header,Exhaust,N2O)
id goe with the ZEX 50hp shot( the internal computer of the unit monitors the AF ratio so ALWAYS at optimal) or get the Venom vcn-1000 a bit more cash but you fully control how you spray.....youll have the same power increase as boosting without the full time worrys that come along with it

Intake/header/exhaust/underdrive pully seems to be the international 1NZ-FE power combo.
Which brands is totally dependant upon your budget.

Until they come out with a better tranny with a different over-drive gear we are stuck to about 80 mph (4k rpm's) on the highway.

I agree with ss though, I wish the 1st gear didn't tach-out so darn quick.
stuck at 80mph on the freeway???? are you kidding ya we only have about 97 hp getting to the wheels but i cruise at a good 85-90mph and ive gotten it up 120mph. so i dont think that we are really stuck at 80mph. 80mph is slow now... if i go 80 on the freeway i better be in the slow lane because everyone else is going 85+

How much faster do you want the Xb to be, and how far are you willing to go to make it that fast? A few Scion mods will help a little. But it will never be a rocket without major work and even then it would be tough.

I have heard that putting in a lightweight flywheel and pulley will help make the car "quicker" but it will be difficult to keep the engine revs up when shifting and durring Idle. Is there some way to compensate for this with throttle settings and such?

suspension mods would help to go faster in the corners. Um, I've seen a box with a header, intake, and exhaust...it seemed to move along pretty good. A definite improvement over stock.

GET OUT AND PUSH!!! its a cheap and easy mod... experiment with nike's, K-Swiss, and New balance... I believe New Balances will give you the best ride without sacraficing grip!

Every lil bit of weight removed from the car will help but were not talking significant gains...you would hafta lighten the car up a couple hundred pounds for the car to feel quicker to you...heres one that nobody tried...if your fat go on a diet and loose some weight...theres some simple weight reduction for ya j/k

Now that's TIGHT! I'm thinking we get 40 people together, buy that little rocket and draw numbers to see who drives it first, etc.

This is my favorite part:

based upon some of the questions I have had asked, be prepared to sign a long liability waiver.

Take everything inside out that you do not need. Carpet back seats all the sound deading stuff everything. I saw a an old Nissan Sentra or something that they made into a low 13 sec car without touching the engine or power train.

Default faster

The cheapest mods you can do first are to : change the intake , either an axleback exhaust or if money permits do a full catback. A hi-flow cat may be in order too. Next try one of the many headers out there. Then to get into the real hp gains go for a supercharger or a turbo. You can keep going in deeper and deeper in debt if you like. More power more money.

I think they ended up cutting the whole body off and cutting off everything behind the rear suspension mounts. I wouldnt ride in it but it does work. haha
