I just installed Hyper Voltage System

I just installed Hyper Voltage System by SUN Automobile U.S.A. It's supposed to give you overall torque & H.P. increase by stabilizing voltages and help prolong battery's life. I did notice a slightly brighter on headlight, and acceleration has changed, especially at signal. There is 3 different types available, LR, HR, MR and I picked up MR, which increases H.P & torque. Type LR gives you increase in Torque, HR increases H.P. and MR gives you both. I got this gadget at Super Autobacs in Stanton, price was about $188, a bit steep for something it's not popular in the world of tuning. I hope to have grounding kits from the same company to complete the setup & hopefully increase efficiency of the electricity. :)

sounds pretty cool...is it look like a little fuse box?

i want to get some groud wires too, is it hard to install?

kagero79 Nov 12, 2003 10:49 AM

The Hyper Voltage System is really easy to install, all you need is a socket to loosen your battery terminal, and connect the system's 2 wires to Negative & Positive and bolt ti back on. It's that simple! Though this is just for Hyper Voltage System, if you are going to install regular grounding kits, you'll most likely end up with UNIVERSAL grounding kit, so to figure out where you want to connect may take some thinking, but thats really no brainer, that'll be my next step to follow up on the system I just installed.

I have grounding wires on both of my rides.

They seemed to have helped more on my Matrix, but the xB does idle smoother than better. The lights on the Matrix don't doim as much now when I'm putting the windows up.

Sounds like I need to add the Hyper Voltage system to each now.

Thanks for the heads up!

theres a pic of a grounding system installed on one of the T.S.W. rydes on my site...i asked him what it does, and he said it is supposed to give you more power...but he said he didn't notice any difference....mostly just looks kool!

It's been awhile since you put the hyper Voltage in your vehicle. How are the long term effects?

DGTLLVR Mar 25, 2005 03:43 AM

Sounds like a capacitor. From what I can tell thats all these things are. Go to any stereo shop, grab yourself a .5 Farad capacitor and wire it up. It will stabilize your voltage, which will make everything run a little better... but don't expect miracles...

What a rip off. I'd rather spend less for something like a buddy club system IF anything.

xnevergiveinx Mar 30, 2005 06:12 AM

you got ripped off big time. it's a capacitor. you could have bought an awesome 1 farad cap with a digital display and had money for a tank of gas left over. but if you think it really improves your ride, have a fun time.

hotbox05 Mar 30, 2005 12:05 PM

yeah basically it's a capacitor but in a hi po type box versus a cap.

I got the Apexi Ground stablizer kit which is the capicitor and ground wires all in one. They retail for about $200.00

I bought a similar unit on Ebay. Total cost $ 55.00....All it is , is a voltage regulator. That's all..There is NO HP increase...rarely any change overall to my box, just looks COOL with the "blue IDIOT lite" on...

hi guys, can check out at the voltage stabilizer forum :eyebrow:

So how much are capacitors? These do the same thing?

Not true! Actually it is a capacitor. All it is inteneded to do is help the alternator to respond a lot faster to the changing voltage requirements or spikes. By having a capacitor you power will increase slightly. If you put the car on the dyno you will see a very slight increase anywhere between 1-3hp. Only reason I say this is the sensors and computer all have stabilized voltage when a current drain like turning the a/c on in the middle of driving it takes the engergy direct from the capacitor. Keep in mind it is a very slight increase of hp.

Here is my version on a grounding kit......I was hoping to get the voltage stabilizer soon but i didn't want to pay 188 bucks !!!

I got this one too. it works pretty good, I noticed a pretty good difference cause I have a CAIS and an exhaust but mine was about $39 w/ shipping included. It's called an ePac. I thought it was worth the money, plus my driver headlight glows 'Eerie Blue', it's awesome.

From what I was told, and noticed myself is that if you take the time to install this properly, and dyno test it. Is that your power band will be smoother with less spikes, so you dont necessarily gain peak power, but you gain power throughout the powerband.

Eski628 Nov 9, 2005 11:03 PM

yeah, it made a big diff in the dyno results, look at my dyno chart. :)

gnar-de-gwar Nov 10, 2005 07:37 AM

i ahve this thingy too, i felt a difference....the end
