Default loss of torque

I own a 2005 scion xb I put a injen short ram air intake and a no name exhaust from euro speed. I am actually suprised that the exhaust sound nice. My problem is I lost the torque that the scion had from 0-4000rpm. I am wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing and if so what did you do to fix the problem. Also has anyone heard or tried PCD performance chip for the scion xb. It is suppose the bypass the stock ecu and make more torqu and horsepower. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

The exhaust is what killed your torque. The stock exhaust was actually designed to be restrictive in order to help the motor produce more torque.

The intake too. I had a Fujita SRI which gave a noticeable HP increase from 3,000+. Loved it on the highway, but lost the torque from idle to 3k. I swapped back to stock when my commute changed to inching along in bumper to bumper traffic.
