Default motor mounts going bad?

has anyone replaced their motor mounts on the xB? my motor vibrates and you can feel it all over the car, the side mirrors are sometimes hard to look out of b/c of the vibrations, and stuff keeps coming lose as well. IS this the motor mounts going bad?, or is this something else?

Also where are the motor mounts located? and who makes replacements?

I have 93,600 hard driven miles on the car as well.

Thanx.

blip the throttle from under the hood and see if you have lots of engine movement, i say blip it kind of hard...

and a tune up is a good idea if you haven't done so already

yeah, i have reaplaced all the motor mounts for another problem though. i agree with both guys above to do a tune up first and then have someone check it out. there are three mounts: (1) on the left hand side by the a/c piping,(2) underneath the battery (only accesible from under the car), (3) right behind the engine on the subframe. mounts should be a last resort because they are not easily changed out. also, have you ever changed you plugs? a lot of time that one simple thing can completely change the way a car runs, especially when it has almost 100K miles.

lol, it's all good. Lots of good info here, I changed my PCV valve today, and when I have more time I'm going to clean the throttle body too.

I mean do you think I could put a filter in the engine bay INSTEAD of changing the factory one? it seems like a lot of tedious work to change the factory one. so keep the factory one, and put a second new filter in the engine bay that would be a lot easier to change and keep a eye on.

thank you to everyone that has helped.

well, the thing is if the factory filter is clogged with debris, then no matter how many new filters you put on, the factory one will still be inhibiting the flow of fuel. i agree with you though, the factory filter is a pain in the rear.
