Odd noises coming from my xB
I have a 2005 xB with about 52k on it and a manual transmission... I have a few odd sounds coming from it.
1. There is a rattling sound. Its not a "knock" like lifters but a rattle.. I can't pin point it but when I open the engine it seems as if its coming from the passenger side towards the firewall.. I'm thinking maybe something is loose with the exhaust but looking for other suggestions
2. I'm getting a "winding" sound.. Its not high pitched and it happens at all RPM whether the clutch is engage or not. I thought maybe power steering but the fluid level is fine. The sound is similar to what a manual sounds like driving in reverse. Seems the warmer the car is, the louder it is but I'm not really sure.. Differential fluid, clutch, something else??
3. When I turn at slow speeds, like turning into parking spaces, I'm getting a rubbing sound from the breaks. Only happens when I'm turning but not in straight line breaking. I'd hard to explain but its not scraping like worn pads but more of a metal to metal lower pitched rubbing sound.. Any ideas??
Thanks!!
Edit: One thing that possibly has me worried is that when I press in the clutch is a feel a puslation. Its very very faint but almost like a clicking in the foot.. Maybe the winding and rattle are related?? Throw out bearing?

that may be a wheel speed sensor^^
I have seen ABS engage while normal breaking on other cars, because the wheel speed sensor thinks the wheel is locked up when it isnt.. not sure here though
