I have the EVO2 also. It is just an axle back even though they call it a catback. I can take pics of it installed if you like, but I cant do it until Sunday. That is th enext time my car will be up in the air.

For the money you could have a complete cat-back. For less if you go to a local exhaust shop and have them fabricate it. Otherwise you could get a complete Magnaflow cat-back.
Your other option is to contact Stylis at Precision Muffler and have him build you a complete header back.

I also have the EVO2. And yes, I have no idea why they call it a cat-back when it truly is an axle-back. I'm not sure how much better a true cat-back would be, but I still love my EVO2. It looks great and still gives some noticeable gains, not to mention that the sound is fairly quiet...that is, until you go about above 3K rpms and then it releases a nice deep growl. I love it most because it only growls when I want it to. When I'm ____ed because some idiot double-parked and blocks a lane even though there is a parking spot readily available, man, I'll let that thing roar.

same goes for the DC "cat-back/axle-back"
actually in the pics on the DC site it has two pipes and says it's a cat-back system. but it also says it's an axle-back system. very confusing, until you get you're axleback system from them and realize it's not a cat-back.

mine rattled at first but it was because i didnt get the exhaust clamp tight enough. and it sits away from the bumper enough to keep from melting it if i raised it up a lil bit yeah it prolly would cause that exhaust does get hot
ill have pics posted soon
