How's the car been maintained and how many miles? Lots of things to check - fuel filter, air filter, MAF sensor, throttle body.

Probably need more information and details about the car. Auto/Man? Smoke or anything leaking?

a sudden stutter and no codes really only points at 2 things air or fuel, specificly, did something "move in" to your air box, and have you recently been running the tank low?...running a fuel tank to neer empty will cause all the crap in the tank to get sucked into the filter, but it also causes the fuel pump to run hot, and can cause low pressure

thats my 2 cents without any extra info

vacuum leak. Sucking in extra air that's bypassing MAF and not being measured.

Codes only pop up when something's failed and sending out-of-range signals. In this case, MAF is being tricked, but still sending out OK signals. Just doesn't match actual air-flow conditions
