Screeching belt when it's wet out
After it's rained or really just any time it's wet out, some belt in my 2006 xA screeches for about the first 3 minutes after I turn it on. It doesn't seem to matter whether I'm D or N (haven't tried R, I don't think) or what my RMPs are or whether my foot's on the break or accelerator. Then after about 3 minutes the screeching noise just stops on its own, usually at the red light at the end of my street.
Is this something I should fix because it's serious, or is it something I can fix if I want to because it isn't serious?

Given that a screeching belt isn't 'normal', I wouldn't ignore it. I'm guessing your belts are either worn, glazed or stretched a bit. Check the belts for their current condition and tension and go from there. I'm sure your neighbors will appreciate it.
