Default Speedometer Quit 05xB

My speedo quit (Not the skinny pants I wear! )
Would that most likely be the speed sensor that is on the front left wheel/brake assembly?

That is your ABS sensor and No that sensor doesn't determine your speed. Your vehicle speed sensor (VSS) sends the signal to your tach, to tell you how fast your xB is going.

Well, actually that is the speed sensor on the FL Drive Shaft, right behind the caliper. However, after doing some further testing I have discovered that it it the speedo gauge that has a problem. The speedo is currently working again, but it is an intermittent problem, most likely the shaft sticking. My tach needle has been doing that for about a year now, sometimes not returning to the zero position until after the engine has been off for a few hours.
I will live with it for the time being. The cruise control still works, even when the speedo is not working, and the odo still works as well. That tells me the speed sensor is fine.

^^^I guess I should stick with Nissan problems instead of trying to diagnose Toyota problems...
Thanks for correcting me, now I know!
