Throttle Body coolant bypass?

Default Throttle Body coolant bypass?

I have heard of people doing this and since its a free mod id be interested in doing it too, heard no gains really, maybe 1 hp or less, any info would be great, thanks!

Well.... since its free or costs next to nothing...i'll say its worth it if you don't live in places where your TB would freeze up....

It is actually quite simple... took me less than 20min... Its like unplug the 2 rubber hoses that direct the coolant to the TB and back to the Engine.. Connect them together so they don't flow through the TB anymore.... Thatz it!

I really didn't notice a big difference, but theoretically I am getting a slightly cooler air. Difference is there but don't expect to hang with corvettes after the mod. No problem for me whatsoever... i did it at 850 miles... now i'm at 9800 miles...

it doesnt help unless all coolant is rerouted from the whole intake manifold.

otherwise a waste of time.

This is one that has more drawbacks than ANY performance gains. Old-school thinking for modern cars seldom really works.

why do something that will do absolutely nothing exept ruin your cars
ability to idle at various speeds? you can do it if you want but let me know how your car runs after the fact
