TRD has scrapped the supercharger idea, and has moved on to developing a Turbo kit for the Scions.

TRD had one on display on a xB at this years SEMA show in Las Vegas

No other information has been released yet as far as ETA for the kit.

I've heard TRD say they're shooting for June. But than again, it seems to be that when TRD says 8 months, they mean 12, but who knows. I haven't had much experiance dealing with them directly, but that's what I hear from people who do.
All I know is I'm hoping for june, and I'm saving up for it!

There probably isn't a lot of "development" per se. They'll likely use the TC developed by Toyota Team Europe (TTE) for the Yaris and adjust the mechanical to meet emissions laws.
