valve cover leaking?

Default valve cover leaking?

well i recently painted my valve cover, 2 weeks later my valve covers leaking oil! the area under the oil cap to be exact! the rest of it is fine im thinking the gaskets messed up, any ideas? i really need help with this one

Was too much oil put in?

you painted your valve cover or your engine cover.
if it was the valve cover: take it back off and make sure the gasket is ok and be sure its all lined up real good when you put it back on.
you should also make sure you are tightening to bolts right (not enought/too much)

each time you remove the valve cover, you should replace the valve cover gasket and the two small orings on the top bolts

i sould be a rubder gasket, you don't have to chang a rubber one unless its damaged.
if it was metal or cork yah you must change it every time.

well i took it off and found out that, i ripped the gasket, well i know i can search it and i will but in case i dont find anything..... does anyone have the part number for the valve cover gasket?
