World Record for a Stock Clutch!?
 

As I am now feeling some significant slipping in the upper gears under certain conditions, I thought I'd start calling around to see what a clutch replacement would cost. To a man, I get the moment of silence then disbelief when they ask when was the last time the clutch was replaced. I said never and I'm the original owner but nobody outside of the guys who drove it on the boat and unloaded it at the dealership have driven it.

Wait for it.... My original stock Scion xB clutch has 298,303 miles on it. And yes I've raced my fair share of Mustangs in the early years (not one ever got past my 'B' pillar) and I still get 32 mpg. Now let that be your guide when you burn out your clutch at 25K kids.

WOW, That's awesome. It's nice to know that my stock clutch could last almost 200K miles more. I'm at about 80k miles now with zero slippage. Thanks for the info.:bow:

I will change it myself
 

After studying on “YouTube University”, I decided that I can change the clutch myself. I’ve picked up a transmission jack and engine holder from Harbor Freight.
As there doesn’t seem to be any videos on the xB specifically, I am making a video as I go to post.

The whining HOA shut me down in the driveway. So I had to put it all back together and clear out the garage to put her inside to continue.
