Default xB Clutch replacement

I have a an 06 xB and have started to notice a small whine from T/O bearing and lite chatter from the clutch when cold. I have some questions about changing the clutch.
I'm a fairly skilled mechanic but have not worked much on the xB. I don't have a lift or engine hoist. Is it easier to drop the drive train as a whole or leave in the engine and pull the transaxle ?
Can I drop the whole assembly without a lift and hoist?

Thanks ion advance for any comments.

I'm still dealing with it, its only a problem when its cold. Its stiff into gear and has a bit of chatter. I think its a bit burnt, my brother had it for a while and says he was hard on it. Im sure I could do the job but I don't have a garage or proper tools at the moment. I have a place I trust call AMCO transmissions on Arvil. I haven't gotten an estimate. I expect $800 to $1200. When I do it, it will
be the whole package, Plate, disk, bushing, and a mill or replacement on the flywheel.

Please let me know what the estimate is and how much you end up paying.
