xB Maintenance Schedule?

:ponder:

I have a 2006 xB, bone stock 1.5 Liter with 5-speed trans, has 101k miles on it.

First question: Does this engine have a timing *chain* or a timing *belt* ???

Second question: What is the factory recommended service interval to have the timing belt/chain replaced ???

Third question: The dealer says Toyota doesn't recommend changing the fuel filter. Car still has factory fuel filter on it (no problems with fuel at this time!!). I've never heard anyone recommend against changing a fuel filter.... I usually change them out every 30-50,000 miles, just haven't bothered on this car... What are your thoughts on this ? I think the dealer's wrong on this point.

(Yes, I lost my dealer maintenance brochure and I don't know where I put the owners manual ;)

xBs have a timing chain check with the dealer on replacment. and the fuel filter is in the tank so its kinda a big deal to change out.
