Default Fastest xB1 in the East (for real)

A good buddy of mine has had the base Greddy kit for a few years now. We are now in process of transforming it into a beast. Will post results here. His intentions are to track the car, auto-x, 1/4, and maybe a time attack or 2.

Already has the Greddy Turbo kit, but here is a list of things being done on top of that:
Ptuning spec SS 1nz-fe long block
Haltec sprint 500 stand alone
Greddy front mount kit
Ptuning custom blow thru MAF set-up
Blown_xa spec shorty intake
AEM water meth kit
550cc injectors
Ptuning custom 3" turbo-back exhaust
Energy suspension motor mounts
Exedy stage 2 clutch
Fidanza lightweight flywheel
Ptuning Vac manifold
Camcon vvti controller
HKS turbo timer

I fully expect this xB to put down more power than my car when all said and done. Im excited for him.

I've heard that AutoX organizations don't allow xBs because of their design. They might be able to make an exception though.

only SCCA doesnt allow them. NASA does and CDC (local org) does. Us Scions around here tear up auto-x's all the time

Well if it can beat the xb that is rolling around in maryland with a small block in it. Then it will be the fastest xb on the east coast.

Having something doesnt count. Does he run it? I have yet to hear about or see him racing at a track. Records are made on the track, not the street

Agreed, I run with NASA because the SCCA hates me.

I'm excited to see some pics/vids/numbers. Good luck senor.

Probably Progress or B&G coil-overs. for tires he will probably stick to a street tire for now but good summer tires, R1R's most likely.

I'd like to see some xB's racing at Summit Point. (from your sig, blown xa)
I live 10 minutes away and have never been to the track.

What kind of setup for CAMCON VVt-i controller do you use? for your boosted Scion XB.
Thanks

I'd put money on that one. The issue with the RWD V8 is that on such a light frame with a short wheelbase, he just doesn't have the weight to get the rear end to hook up. I've met him at shows, even bought the 1NZ-FE and trans. he pulled out of it since he obviously didn't need it anymore, and it was never built to be a track car. He turned it into a modern streetrod complete with airbrushed firewall, which is awesome, but don't expect to see it at the track. I've asked if he'd ever ran it and his main concern was lifting the front end and then popping the glass or creasing the sheet metal when it landed. Love seeing a full header-back dual exhaust too, no crossover or Y pipe needed.

Talk to the autoX guys, you never want more pawer than you can use, anything more is just extra weight and a loss of traction.

Love the blown_xa spec intake BTW, classic. Did he get the block sleeved?

yeah, but then they' distract from the stealth look on it, aside from being an RS2.0 with 10" rear tires. Gotta say a stroked 350 and dual 3" exhaust sounds better than a BOV though.

The motor will be just like mine, not sleeved. The sleeve thickness seems the same as the factory sleeves in the tC block. Im sure the head bolts would give first . The Blown_xa spec shortie turbo intake is cool, It positions the air filter up under the cowl panel. modification of the rain gutter is needed, and blow through set-up.

Is your buddy willing to sell/swap his e-manage blue that came with his turbo kit? Mine is not functioning properly from the time I tried to add on an MSD DIS-4. I get a green light on the unit, but my box won't start with the e-manage attached. I'm currently running the stock ecu with bigger injectors and colder plugs to prevent detonation. I do have a spare e-manage blue if he'd like to swap + cash, or with an HKS Turbo Timer. I'm not mutch of a tuner and would feel much more comfortable with the pre-tune from Greddy. Let me know if he's interested, or if anyone out there knows anyone else who might be. Best of luck to you guys on your project.
