Default NA tuning with emanage ultimate, worth it?

i've recently acquired an emanage ultimate since I planned to piece together a turbo kit, but I'm thinking is it worth tuning the NA motor with the emanage ultimate just to make use of the piggyback while I wait for when I finally have all the parts for my turbo (which will be a LONG time)? Anyone done it yet and if so any maps to share?

I'm not imagining much to be gained from NA, maybe 3-5hp if i'm lucky? But would there be any benefits like improved torque through the rpm ranges?

I'm moving this to xB:FI. They're more familiar with piggybacks. Might get more help there.

time to wire it up and money to pay for tuning ?
I dont know how these piggybacks work, but is it possible to have it installed but have it not affect the engine? I was thinking about just installing it and continue to run the car normally (maybe use the launch control?) and leave the tuning portion for later until I get my setup done.

everyone says not worth it, and hence no one has done it, its just " a friend of a friend says its not worth it" so no one does it. if you have it, and your going to use it later, whats the difference between having it installed now, and installed later? none, no difference lol. install the darn thing, and then research online how to program it, and street tune it na for now until you get your turbo, by then, youll be able to tune it yourself and will only need to pay for dyno pulls not tuning time. its not to hard, just play with the maps a little at a time to see if anything helps. o and get an ecu out of the same year and trans type echo, that ecu wont kick your tune like ours. there you go lol

the reason why it really isn't worth it is because your engine is pretty much already tuned to run as efficient as possible naturally aspirated by toyota. not saying there aren't some gains to be made, the tune probably has some slack in it for less stress and greater fuel economy, but the gains are about hte same as dyno error. then, if you make a few upgrades to the intake and exhuast, then there might be a few extra ponies to unleash there, but again, not much.

it will 100% not be worth it. Take my word on that. You will get better fuel curves but wont be worth the money at all

If I can think a little differently, it can be worth it, depending on what other mods you have (exhaust, intake, mostly), as when the car is in open loop mode, the built-in maps may not be adequate. Plus I don't know about your cars but mine runs RICH at full throttle, certainly as a safety buffer, so some leaning out if appropriate could help gain a few horses... Won't be much, but worth a try and you will earn from in in preparation to your turbo.

I'm not too familiar with the emanage unit but there is a video on youtube of a guy with an na xb with I/H/E and a SAFC. He was able to get some power. here is the link.

i had the eman, intake, header, exhaust, and my fuel curve was better - i am 100% sure you will be wasting your money if you think you can retune the tc w/o FI and make power. For $1k/tuned ...you could put that toward a whole turbo kit.
