Spark Plug for turbo Xb ---need a short quick answer pleeese
Guys ive bee on here for 3 hours tiring to decide what plug to go get but all I keep getting is answers for either turbo Tc's or NA Xb's all I want to know is what Gap should I go with and if I should run a colder pug? im at stock boost on my greedy kit
this is the plug im thinking let me know what you guys think BKR6EIX -11 |
most people use 1step colder and since your around 5-6psi of boost it wont hurt.... im not sure on the gap size tho... i want to say 32 for the gap but dont trust my answer for that tho... Lol

Use a stock rated plug either 1 or 2 stages colder and at the same plug gap. Thats what I do.

so dont use these BKR6EIX, you say use the stock plug just colder? |
On turbo applications, Ive been told to use a plug that is equivalent to stock but 1 or 2 stages colder. That means don't use iridium or platinum.

Get a regular copper NGK plug. They are cheap and usually readily available at any parts store. Get at least 1 step colder. That should be fine and I gap all my turbo cars at .028

You want a closer gap so that the air doesnt blow out the spark. Anything tighter than .028 wont spark enough. |
