Default Turbo Toyotas components....it doesnt get much better.

On the road to building our 400whp XB, we got with Todd at Turbo Toyotas. Now I have seen every SC and turbo kit out their for Scions and no BS, the Turbo Toyotas manifold, fit and finish is by far the best...hands down. The kit is not for everyone though. Those looking to buy something cheap can look on ebay or other kits that are available. Todd doesnt cut corners on his kits and best of all, you're going to get good service. I've had people come to our place to fix problems with their kits and when I ask them, "why dont you call such and such about it?", they tell me, "they didnt care."

Anyways, enough about that. Our motor is nearly complete. Pistons, rods, etc are put together. We were not able to use ARP components to hold the head down because of clearance issues on the head (sucky). More updates to come.

I can't wait to see the updates!

(And I don't mean the wings, although it does make me wonder what type of licensing the FAA would offer for the XB)

I'll try to get as much info and updates to you guys as soon as possible. We are also buying a bunch of Turbo Toyotas kits so if anyone is interested in putting a group buy together, let me know.

200hp didnt break your trans, the power shifting did.

Power shifting is in the import dictionary under "fastest way to expire a transmission".

You also had alot of wheel hop as well, correct? That is the second worst thing you can do to a trans.

Ya, when the wheels start to hop, usually its smart to let off... Or just take off a little lighter on the pedal to avoid it...

The soft motor mounts will cause even more wheel hop. We are using solid mounts and a bunch of other custom goodies.

Thanks man. Yeah, I've been really busy also with other projects. The XB hasnt gotten much love in the past couple of months but we are starting to give it some attention now. The truth of the matter is, there arent many xb owners out there willing to go all out and still pay the price for doing it right...the first time.

^^^ Doing it right the first time is what its all about. I costs a little bit extra but in the long run you actually save. Rollhard i was reading your info and i see that one of your project cars is M400?? Is this the Noble M400?? I thought they only sold those is Europe?? Thats a pretty sweet car to deal with, event though its made out of plastic, its one hell of a car.

We are a Noble M400/M12 service center. Thats why the xb has been sitting. Anyhow, the car is NOT made of plastic. The body panels are made of fiberglass. But yes, we do have an M400 in our shop stable.

This is one of the M12s we work on here.

Its good that you want to do things right the first time because not many people do. The fact that you even knew what a Noble was shows you are serious about cars.

Those Nobles are pretty sweet in person. Saw one at Eloy's old shop. And got to see them really up close and personal at the Monterey historics last year.

Speaking of which... Eloy, you have to have that 400hp wonder box on the road by the Monterey Historics this year. That thing needs to be there.
