Default What's the best economically Turbo for a stock 06 xB?

Hello,
I'm a new owner of a 136,000 06 Scion xB in literally pristine condition. It's a 5 speed with sun roof and nice body all the way around.
Just curious if anyone knows what's the best boost kit for this and probably least harmful to a stock motor.
I just want a little more power to it without having to build me a Honda Civic hatch on turbo.

Outside of getting a kit on eBay, which could be hit or miss as far as quality goes, that's about you're only option beyond going custom. And turbo and economical typically aren't used in the same sentence...

Maybe start here with some reading to see what you might be getting in to:

Default Ebay turbos

For some reason those ebay turbo lightweight scare me as far as quality I don't want to mess up my car just to make it a lil faster. By the way are the ebay turbo plug and play?

I highly doubt any turbo kit you find these days is going to be plug-and-play...my advice, save your money and do a few easy bolt-ons and call it good. Unless you're willing to drop a solid $5,000+ you're not going to get a good and relatively reliable turbo for an xB.

Default I would buy an eBay kit and upgrade the turbo.

Did that 10 years or so ago and still good to go.

Default Stock ecu. Added an injector driver for a 5th injector.

Plumbed a 5th injector into the hose before the intake. Got a driver to run that. Runs 7-8 psi. Got over 25000 miles and years set up this way and still going great. I had to re make most of my kit i got. It was crap. But turned out great when i was done. Made around 140hp at elevation. So it’s most likely in the 170ish range where I’m at now at half the elevation. Needed to add more fuel.
