Default anyone engineer some rear door speakers? 1st gen

Anyone ever try to put speaker in the read door? It would require cutting the plastic door panel, at the very least. And I haven't taken the panel off to see if there is anything to mount a speaker to (without welding of course). But has anyone ever pulled it off? It seems like it would be a more optimal choice to have some mids in the door, and frankenstein some 8's or 10's in the rear cargo area where the rear speakers are. Like I said, I haven't taken the panel off to look at the structure, or volume of space. Just brainstorming. But surely someone has attempted one or both?

Nice!! I was thinking of putting some cup holders in the spot, but I think speakers would be better How did you fabricate the cover that goes over the speaker?
