Default Camping in the xB

Just pulled some pics off my camera from a month or so ago and thought I'd share. Was wanting to try this since I got my xB in July.... put all the seats down and inflated a queen size double thick ozark matress, it was a tight fit but it worked!... next time I think a single thickness matress will do better

Who else has tried this and what has worked?... or failed?

Wife and I (and our 2 dogs) spent 11 days camping for vacation last summer. It rained like MAD one night so we decided to sleep in the box. We didn't use an air mattress or anything, just folded down all the seats. With the dogs (and all our stuff we didn't want wet) it was a bit cramped but bearable.

Some other helpful lessons learned on the camping trip;
  • The double thick queen matress makes it really hard to get the doors shut but it can be done!
  • BEWARE OF THE HORN! Shouldn't be a problem with single thick matress.
  • 2 single or 1 twin size matresses might work better?
  • ONLY sleep 2 people, 3 is too many!... someone might suffocate
    or be suffocated in there sleep. not sure about 2 + animals.
  • If you bust a$$ everyone's a gonner if all the windows are up!

LOL - hilarious pics dude!

when i take weekend trips to atlantic city, i -NEVER- pay $300 for a hotel room. and since i got my box a couple of years ago, it's even better. all you need is a curtain that goes around from windshield to the back, covering all the windows. then you got your own r00m and $300 in your pocket. that basically covers all gambling/partying expenses ;]

Cool, got any pics or other tips? Where'd ya find the curtain? Was thinking about curtains for the side windows and just put up the windshield sunshade in the front.
