Default Cathodes on/off with dome light...

I have searched for the past hour trying to find the location of the doom light fuse on the fusebox (if it's even there), so I can Add-a-Fuse for my cathode install. I want it to power up when the doors open.

I can't run it straight from my domelight wire, because there is already stuff being powered by it, so I need another solution.

If you already have a power wire running from the dome light, add a relay to it.

Use the dome light wire to trigger it to turn on your cats, when the dome light turns on so will the others. It won't use the power except to trigger the relay.

It's been a while since I wired my cathodes that way. But what I do remember is that the the switch is a positive ground, so wiring a relay up in the standard fashion will not work. Ask a local stereo shop to help you with the wiring diagram for a relay with positive grounding.
