Default Custom box completed!! Still have trunk and spare tire!

What does everyone think of my new custom box in my trunk? I built the box in and around the left side of the box. I still can get to my spare and I still have easy access to the compartment.

The amp and the cap are on one piece and the sub on the other so the amp and cap can be lifted up to get to the compartment. I also made it easy to disconnect the sub so I can take it all out in a few seconds.

It sounds pretty good. It is a little small for that sub but I figured that it would be fine since I was underpowering it with the amp. Sounds very good overall. Very happy with it.

Honestly though, you really dont have trunk space. Spare tire yes, but no trunk space. Are you really going to put a bunch of stuff on top of that speaker and amp? I wouldn't.

It does look nice though. Kudos to you.

I just went on a trip and put 4 suitcases on the amp and sub and all is well. That is why I put a peaker grille on the sub and the amp is made of metal so kind of hard to hurt that with plastic suitcases. I have a swich in the front that turns the remote on and off so I just don't have the sub on when there is stuff on top of it.

I was just a little confused why I wouldn't put stuff on a sub with a grille and an amp. I am not carrying anything heavy and it is only for trips, not on a regular basis.

I guess the only real concern with putting stuff on the sub and amp is, you could some how puncture the sub through the grill, would be a little hard to do that and you could burn what is ever sitting on the amp cause they do get hot after long play periods. Those are the only real concerns and like you said you dont put stuff on it every day just occasionaly. So no real big worries.

I like it. now if you can figure something for 2 amps, a 10" woofer and air tank, plus keep the spare, would be a great help to me
