Hey everybody, I'm looking to add some flash to my e-brake handle, but none of the "universal" parts from my local speed shop fit by sliding over. I'm new at this, but do you slip on e-brake covers, or do you have to disassemble the e-brake assembly and bolt the new one on? If you need to disassemble it, how do you do it?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!
Darrell (BlueNRG) and myself have installed a Tenzo silver on his and a carbon Fiber gun metallic one on mine.
I'll try to post pictures here.
You would need to cut all the plastic from the top and bottom and then use a flat nose screw driver (a big one preferably) and the plastic piece comes off then all you should have is the bar metal. Slip the aftermarket Ebrake trim then screw the allen screws on each side. You would have to cut some of the rubber trim on the plastic boot as well to make it fit.
It's not as hard as it seems but just take your time when cutting.
Darrell is the expert in installing these and can do them with ease.
I don't think they sell one the fits over the existing plastic and that would not look good anyways.
Hope you can get yours soon. It makes a difference in the looks of the car and the feel of the e-brake.

Darrell (BlueNRG) has done several including mine and I know that you have to cut the plastic to fit the new e-brake cover.
I'll take some pictures of mine and Darrell's and post it here.
If anyone can figure out a way of taking off the plastic cover with out hacking it off please post and let us know.
