Factory Alarm Sensitivity

Not sure if I posted this in the right spot.....
Anyway, is there a way for me to increase the alarm sensitivity on my gen1 xB WITHOUT taking it into the dealership? I want it sensitive enough for an old lady to fart next it and set it off.

IIRC, there's a box just behind the glovebox that has the sensitivity knob.

Ok cool. I think I know what you're talking about. I looked but didn't see an actual knob. I'll look again though.

I guess it's more like a small dial...

Is it labeled at all? I'm guessing turning it to the right will increase it, correct?

burstaneurysm 04-15-2010 05:03 PM

Should be. I thought there were small numbers indicating the sensitivity.

Someone else is saying there's something underneath the steering wheel with a black knob.

Look at page 20 of the installation manual, it shows the sensitivity for the glass breakage sensor. Looks to me like it's mounted behind the glovebox.
