Interior modifications :D

Let's face it, gray looks terrible.

Clazzios will be black/blue, interior is already mostly black, should I do blue for A/B/C pillars?

Black would be more professional, but

blue would stand out more, thinking dark blue possibly.

Thanks for your opinions.

I'd go black, though if your going to do blue do like you said and go dark blue. Bright blue just screams rice to me on the interior imo.

FlintMica2005 06-03-2010 07:16 PM

any blue screams rice, any color ingeneral screams rice. black is good.

amethyst purple, ive got 8 yards and am waiting on the time to do it

I went with black on mine... but I was going more for the subtle approach. A little something to sauce up the interior when you get that far:

Well I think regular blue will look pretty good. I can always change it.

I'll post pics when I'm finished.

Murphys_Law 06-04-2010 02:13 AM

get a little darker than you want because it will fade some, make sure youre tinted and use a sunshade

Zman 06-04-2010 03:20 AM

I'm tinted, I have a sunshade somewhere.

A lot of people have done black, so I think this blue will really stand out.
The dark blue was almost navy, so I didn't get it.

I want a 4 spoke steering wheel, like in a Honda. I want to be able to hold the bottom of the wheel.

black....has anyone used that fabric paint spray? im afraid of it rubbing off

spr0k3t 06-04-2010 05:07 AM

I know a couple people who used the paint spray... just make sure to let it sit for a while before installing it back in the car. One of the cars still looks like it was done only just last week, but the headliner is over two years old from the spray job.

It's gonna be interesting when I'm finished.

How have people painted the seat belt holders?
As far as I can tell they are stuck on the belt.

Murphys_Law 06-04-2010 06:10 AM

unbolt the seatbelts from the floor and you can slide the holders off

Even past that little nubby on the belt that keeps the the thing from sliding down too far?

I hate putting a piece back in and accidentally chipping the paint with my finger nail.

GQQSE13 06-04-2010 11:57 AM

if you can get a dark/navy blue then i'd do that else go black because i've seen tc's that have done bright blue and it just looked a bit too much (then again that was the only blue it had)

Zman 06-04-2010 11:04 PM

I looked at interiors and I couldn't find one with painted seat belt holders.

I don't think they come off the strap.

Anybody know if they come off?

WhoKilledTheJAMs 06-04-2010 11:16 PM

I'm going to do my pillars this summer to match the dark blue crushed velvet I put on the headliner last year. Go matchy-matchy!

Murphys_Law 06-05-2010 01:21 AM

yes they slide right off once you unbolt from the bottom
