You can go with an AUX adapter (the one I used is linked in my sig). You plug it into the CD Changer controls (stock stereo) and it will give you the RCA jacks. You can then run a cable from the RCA jacks to a 1/8" adapter and plug it into the headphone/line out of an iPod or other device. There's a DIY thread on here too that someone did recently.

Ah... here's the thread. This guy used the same type of adapter that I used, but differen't company.

I didn't even drill anything for mine. I wanted to put a jack below the armrest console for an 1/8" plug, but just decided to wait. I ordered a belkin TuneDok from eBay and will just be leaving my iPod in the cup holder. My cable runs similar to the guy above, but I don't have the dock connector, just an 1/8" plug that comes up where my e-brake is. Works quite well, and my cable is black, so it's pretty stealthy.

BTW: when using the search, click the search button at the top and then check the option for "search for all words". Don't use the "type search here" box.

The only drawback to the AUX and 1/8th minijack setups is that yous till need something to keep the iPod charged. You can get a iPod2Car adapter which basically plugs in the same as the AUX adapters, but it gives you an iPod dock connection. What is the advantage of a dock connection you say? Well, it charges the iPod while also giving you a level line out signal. This would give you better sound quality with less distortion than an AUX/mini 1/8th setup.

I agree with the not being powered part... but I have a 4th gen, 40gb. Battery life is 12 hours. I don't really need any external source in my car. I can just take it out when I get home, charge it overnight and put it back in my car. I don't consider that much of a hassle at all. And easier than having any extra wires. A full charge should last me at least a week+ of driving.
