LEDs you can buy for A/C, Overhead, and Shift - My Suggestions
FYI. These bulbs work well in replacing the shift and A/C dials light bulbs, overhead lights, too.The shift light is nice and very bright. The overhead is a touch brighter than stock, cool white makes colors more natural. A/C dials could be brighter, but the light bulb holes are about 5.5 mm diameter,
so while the 10mm base is fine, the bulbs bigger than about 5-5.5mm won't fit through the hole. This greatly limits selection to less bright bulbs with 1-2 LED rather than 3 or more. But, it's readable at night even though the forward facing single LED isn't as even in lighting the edges of the panel.

Well, didn't take long before the Cree 31mm for the dome light from autolumination to die.
Decided not to try another from them.
Got the Alla off Amazon instead.
These are even brighter, so good thus far.
The exposure is about a 5.7 EV in photography terms. Between regular indoor night lighting and outdoor night fair lighting.
More than bright enough to read a magazine or map comfortably.
