Check out the Directed Video line now sold at Best Buy. It is a Directed Electronics product (the maker of Viper & Python alarms). They are also promoted on the Pimp My Ride show. The 7" is rather small. The 9" widescreen is sweet as is the 12". They are all in one units (built-in dvd player), not under your seat or glove box. 2 wireless headphones are included, as is a wireless fm transmitter/modulator.

Your rearview mirror will be obstructed no matter the size. Last week Best Buy offered free install on overhead monitors and in-dash screens. That is almost a $180. value.

hey, I think the best TV set up is in X_Box's ride, here is a link to a thread with a pic of her set up. I think you should contact her. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...9341&start=150 (its on page one, sorry)

I purchased this one last week from Fry's Electronics for $199 because it is a discontinued model. Overstock.com has them for $249... still a great price. I have yet to install it but the screen quality was better than XOVison or Bravo demos.

Personally, I like the Clarion unit and the Icon tv allinone unit. The Icon s, hands down, the best all in one overhead out there. Expect to pa for the quality though. Clarion's version is a tad more affordable, but is a little less superior quality wise. Still, both are great units.

I've got this set up. Put the player in the compartment below the heat/cooling controls. Now I just need to take some pics... BTW, you can find it cheaper than $900.00. Crutchfield is like $800.00 and some guy on ebay who I got mine from for $760.00.

Wow! Price just went up to $289 on Overstock in just a couple of days.

I was curious what brand of monitors everyone is running.

Rivulent 07-20-2005 08:35 PM

I can vouch for Directed's quality. I've installed two of their 17" moniters and both quality has been top notch. Very clear picture, impressive for a mobile display!
