lots of rain, hi beam indicator lites up faintly..

2 nites ago it was pouring rain and i wanted to drive my car
so i went on the freeway.. i noticed my hibeam indicator(blue light) was
on but very faintly. im almost thinking the water acted as a conductor
between the plug and the chasis of the car being how our headlights(lo/hi)
are negatively triggered.. any takers? any advice? any comments?

head lights

well assuming that the headlights are always powered, and that the switch to turn them on is essentiall completing the ground, its quite possible? water was either shorting the connection in the switch, or grounding to the frame, i say its possible.

hmm well actually my headlights were ON that nite.
SO im thinking some of the ground is leaking over? lol
i dunno but the problem hasn';t surfaced again since my
car is dried. i doubt it will present any problem..
i was just wondering if anyone else had that.

well this presents other possibilities, all i can say is water COULD short something causin your little blue light to turn on..who knows...did the high beams themselves ever flicker on?

thats the thing, i have hids so my hi beam circuit would just be the indicator light only.
i have the low beam wire running to a relay to turn on the hids.
