Default my newest mod..JDM bB storage tray under seat

my newest mod...very handy edition I think...used a chemical weld to install it
came off a JDM bb was the first time I ever saw it but it is great to have! Slides under very easy and is totally out of sight! I also put added a 4 inch cold cathode tube above drawer so I can see inseide at night...plugged into the rest of the cold cathode lighting.......Yes I know leather is next!!

works perfect!:

I highly recommend getting one of these if it comes up again....thanks JDMISME!!! for another jdm detail for the box!...

What about the passenger airbag sensor cable?

You can get this part from an Echo.

Oh good then I will find one from a junked Echo and put it in. I miss it from my old car.

Why does it need chemical weld? Can you not take the seat and install the shelf on a bracket?

I went online and looked for echo parts and such and couldn't find anything.....?? anywho the part was welded on before and I just used a chemical bond/weld instead

I see now. I thought it was omitted because of the passenger seat sensor. Since you say it is no problem, I am going to get one.

The Echo had the same passenger seat tray. No need to import.

Here are some folks installing stereo gear in theirs:

sweet find! only thing I had to do was on one of the "legs" (where the sensor is attached) I pulled it out and just put it on the other side (same hole just fliped it around) so it wouldn't interfere with the slide of the tray

it's really easy and simple, just take out the passenger seat flip it upside down prop it up wiht a box or something..put the frame with tray in place until you see the best fit... where it will slide and not interfer with anything and be out of site when closed..make some sharpie marks for the places you wish to weld/glue or whatever...and bamm...

I used "J-B Weld" (http://www.instawares.com/j-b-weld-l...3-1065.0.7.htm) bungied it down to make sure the tray didn't move ..(will be better to have the tray on the frame as you install it so the frame keeps the right shape)...

leave it to dry in the sun for about an hour or so.....put the seat back in the car and don't mess with the tray for 24 hours..next day your good to go!

Here is underneath the passenger seat from behind on my 2006.5 xB. It looks to me like the bracket holding the seat sensor would get in the way.

I have a 2006.0 my wires we're off to the side

looks like all you'd need to do is just re-route the wiring, that should be pretty simple, oh, and the "paper" type stuff on the bottom of the seat, I cut mine off

You think it would clear if the vertical wire went off to the side? The wires going both left and right are attached to a metal bracket.
