New Carpet and head liner any one?

to all those that redid there carpet i had a few questions

is the carpet custom molded or is it flat when you take it out?
is there any wheres i can look for installing the carpet in my box?
is there a lot of gluing involved?

my carpet is tearing and its quite depressing

and then -
as far as headliner goes how hard is it to swap headliners?
is there a lot of gluing involved?
can i just use head liner i pick up from the fabric store or should i buy a different kind of more autoish head liner?

Don't know about the carpet, but with the headliner you basically have two choices. You can either dye it or re-wrap it in a different kind of fabric. Dyeing it would be the easiest of the two.

Carpet is molded

EZ to R&R (need to remove seats, console, etc, of course!)

No glue

You'd need headliner adhesive to rewrap it.

I dyed mine. That's my interior in the second link. I really like the way it turned out.

Carpet is generally molded to the floorboard; it's thin carpet sometimes backed by plastic to help it keep its shape. There are some companies that sell custom-colored carpet for Hondas and such - they may or may not make xB carpet.

i think i might take the floor out and make a pattern.
i dont know yet
as far as the headliner goes i think i have my father recruited into helping me... i guess ge rebuild cars back in the day. who knew it ran in the blood

so wait with the dyed version does that last?
i need to be able to put large boxs in the back and rub up against the headliner sometimes. is it actual paint or dye. because in the other forum you post about doing the visors with it too?

I just wrapped mine in black suede.
A lot of gluing and a lot of time is required.
Don't rush and you'll be fine.
3 yards did the headliner. Bought it for 12.99 on the dot.
I love it.

I'll post picture if you want.

Mine's been dyed for a few months now. Holding up fine. The visors were done a while before that too.

I haven't seen any indication of wear yet.
