newbie stereo help? Aux cable to head unit

Hi everyone -
These forums have really helped me with learning about my 2006 Scion xA. I have searched around a bit and haven't been able to figure out a stereo install question and hope folks can help:

I have stock pioneer stereo

that looks like this on the back:

as you can see I was able to take it out of the dash no prob (using instructions from this forum.

The AUX port by the emergency brake does not have a cable running out of it.

This is the port I am referring to (I don't have a photo so I grabbed off the net:

So I bought one:

My question is, How do I attach this? The cable I bought looks like it plugs into the back of the AUX port, which I was able to remove, but how do I connect it to the head unit? Are there some wire harnesses in the emergency brake area that I can connect it to? Do I need a second cable?

I haven't taken the entire center console apart yet to look around, I thought I would ask for some help first. THANK YOU anyone who can give some guidance here.

update to my original post

hi again

ok so sadly I just found out that the cable I bought, despite what I thought was thorough research, does not actually fit into the aux port. Here is the port and the back with the connector:

I guess I need to start from scratch here!

Any ideas?

Thanks - Will
