Oil Pressure Gauge Adapter and Filter Question
I am going to be installing an aftermarket Oil Pressure gauge and I know I need to use an adapter that goes between the filter and the block. I have decided on the AC AutoTechnic or the Greddy adapter but I can't seem to find the right part number for either one needed for shopping around for prices. I know a bunch of places have them, I just want to get the best price.
Also, can I use the OEM oil filter or do I have to use a different one and if so, which one. I know some of the TC guys need a different filter. Thanks in advance! Mike |
go for the greddy adapter... the ac auto technic the i wasn't very impressed with it the threads on the adapter didn't very much catch many threads on the engine :( so i sold it
and yes you can use your stock filter :) |
Same here^^^ I just installed my greddy one and it fit great. I did however have to have the hole for the sensor re-tapped on the adaptor because my autometer sensor didnt fit.

I installed my oil pressure gauge where the oem sensor mounts just used a 1/8 " tee and a nipple and elbow picked it up @ lowes 2 bucks

I got my greddy at NOPI.

and yes thats the best place to tap into get the oil pressure too!!! |
Does anyone have a picture of where the stock sensor mount is located and maybe a picture of what it looks like after you have installed the gauge sender. I think I would rather do it this way if it is the best. It also sounds a lot cheaper, too.
Thanks again, Mike |
from what i can tell the factory oil pressure sensor is right above the oil filer little bit about the oil pressure sensor is the knock sensor right in between cylinders 2 and 3
