pasengerside door lock not working.
iv been reading a couple of post that have that have a similar heading like this one(i did not read all of them so if there is a tread that addresses this please point me in that direction), but it seems everyone else is having the exact opposite problem i am having.
with my xb when the passenger goes to open the door the lock comes about half way up then disengages and then the door will not open. i have to roll down the passenger window and when the passenger pulls the door handle on the outside of the car twice then the lock engages again and the door will open. but if you do that then the door will not latch when you shut it and just stays open.
but there is a scenario 2. if i unlock the door with the unlock key on the drivers side it works fine and door opens fine from the inside and shuts fine from the outside.
know i could always unlock the door before someone gets out but its a safty issue if i get into a crash or something the passenger needs to t out. and of course my car just went out of warranty so any help before i take it into he shop for a nice big bill would be greatly appreciated...

I know EXACTLY what you're saying. My 05 has been doing the same thing. All I do is push back down on the lock, and pull it up manually. It's a PITA, but it works as a temporary thing until you figure out the problem. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
I HAVE THAT SAME PROBLEM
oops sorry about the caps.
I have found the answer... It only happens when my passanger tries to open the door while the automatic locks are unlocking....
I brought it into the dealership and it never could be duplicated... so i guess its passanger error...
lol
