Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum and I need help on my gf's xa. A few months ago, the passenger door would not unlock/lock when you press the FOB or any other locks. I know that this would be the door lock actuator. I haven't replaced it because I am having a hard time finding a part from the junkyard.

Now, the we cannot even unlock the door manually and we cannot open the door at all!! Is there a way to open it? I don't think I would be able to remove the door panel while the door is closed. Please help, thanks

PS: we went at the dealership for a quote and it was like $800 :/

P/S front door? Just have a lock smith open it with a slim jim, immediately before you repair the broken lock.

My ex-gf got locked out of her xA one day and a co worker came with a slim jim and opened it for her. Not terribly hard to get in apparently.

I was just wondering if the slim jim will mess it up more. The lock and the handle inside has some tension to it. It has some resistance when I try to unlock it manually.

The slim jim might mess up the window trim a little. But it wasn't really noticeable.
