Pioneer AVIC-D3 Question

I just bought this h/u and was curious on where the speed detection circuit lead is....according to the pioneer instructions you must connect the headunit to this lead so it knows how far the vehicle travels.....i have searched but have not beeen able to find where this is located....if someone could help me out i would really appreciate it....thanks

Im pretty sure its under the glovebox. PM me with what your year make and model is and I can find the wire and where for ya

Socalrider 09-05-2007 12:09 AM

The wire your looking for is right there in the factory stero wires, tap into the purple with white stripe this is four your VSS speed sensing, when you set your Factory radio to use the auto sound feature, when the car goes faster the volum will increase, when the car slows down the volume decreases.

This is also the same wire used for the cruise control if you have it.

yeah I sent him the wire. I didnt know it was there on the Scions. Most Pioneers use the voltage input and "sense" how much "noise" the alt is making. Thats cool that they are doing that. Fords been doing it also

Forklift 09-07-2007 01:34 AM

Socalrider 09-07-2007 01:38 AM
