OK, I want to replace those extra crappy rear speakers. I'm generally happy with the stock setup (at least for now) but it seems like an inexpensive upgrade to the rears might help.

I don't want to just buy the cheapest 5 1/4s i can find and end up with something worse or just comparable.

Can anyone suggest a pair of 5 1/4 replacements for the back? What level d oI need to buy to get an improvement without wasting cash...

Prices/brand names/links are all welcomed.

i bought 5 1/4 pioneers a year back at best buy on sale for like 79 bucks...

 

i put in some alpine 6 1/2 coax of ebay it was sps-170a it was 70.00 a pair i think they have the sps-130a which is a 5 1/2 its like 50.00 it a good replacement speaker

 

I too recommend the Alpine Type-S speakers.
