I was thinking about adding cathodes to my tC and in order to draw the power from the cigarette lighter i have to take out the center console, does anyone know how to go about doing that?

 

1) Unscrew your shift ****
2) Pull the lower portion of the plastic silver bezel consolish part back and lift up after it slides back. (disconnect the cig lighter before yanking too hard.
3) If you want to get the top part off pull straight back as well from the bottom portion of it and it should come off pretty easily.

It shouldn't take much force, just get your fingernails behind the plastic on the lower part and you're good to go.

I found it much easier to get power from the fuse pannel. There are plenty of open slots in there. I just bought one of thoes "add a circuit" things. easy as pie.

 

Hudnut, what are these add a circuit things u are talkin about and where can I get them for my xb. I want to add some cathoes in my car, but really dont want to cut wire in the cigarette adapter

I've seen pictures of them before, but I want more info on how to wire them and where to wire them.

You gotta get in the zone! autozone! It's in the isle with all the fuses and wiring stuff.

no, it looks like a small block about 1/2" x 1/2" with 2 fuse slots, one set of blades, and one wire comming out of it. you just plug it into any fuse slot, it will still fuse the original circuit, and then use the wire to power the positive of your accessory. I grounded to a brake peadel bolt.
