I recall the older Toyota players were eclipse. What happened to that? Man, I love Eclpise players.

Some still are. But it's actually Fujitsu Ten. Eclipse is aftermarket. They also use Panasonic and Delco HU's. Way back, ten years or so some components were made by Alpine.

Does it really matter who makes the stock head units? They invariably end up sucking balls and replaced anyway.

^^ yeah, but when I installed my eclipse player into my toyota truck, I just clipped it to the stock harness and it worked! NO rewiring! Thats legit!

lets not forget nakamichi........my friends lexus has that....

the lexus comes with nakamichi stock? its not the nicest looking stuff but they sound so nice the friend has to nakamichi kevlar subs in his explorer and they hit so nice as far as i have been able to find they dont make them any more but they are awsome subs

Lexus has those Mark Levinson systems that are to die for! If only Mark Levinson makes aftermarket parts so we can use them
