Any ideas on how I can build this setup piece by piece as I have money to put towards it?

It is a transmission line, which is a bandpass of sorts, but the exit area of the port is like a mega phone, narrow at the start openning wider at the end, kind of a foldled horn. maybe a quasi of the three types.

wtf, people are either 100% for or against audiobahn. the cheap audiobahns are crap, as are all cheap subs from any company. but let me tell u that those subs HIIITTT!! and sound good too. and trust me, all my freinds have a huge variety of subs from P3's, W7's, L7's, thunder8000.... it's also alot about wiring configs. u can make ur ears bleed and still have the subs be crisp. the only problem i have is that sometimes the rear hatch glass sounds like it's about to blow out the back

some some really nice set ups here....

I've got a tC and I found THIS system with a pretty decent review.

It seems to fit real nice and looks good.

If I wanted to listen to a pounding bass line and shake the rear view mirrors off of passing cars then ya it's "WEEEEEEEEEEEAK!" I've had big sub setups in my old cars and I'm done with that, I'm just lookin for something with a good all around sound and a little bump here and there. sooo for ME it's effective.

Ok... 2 12's in a tC will hit assuming it's been installed properly, but stick a few re XXX's or w7's in there and you'll ____ yourself.
