Something I found out about RS3 Envy Green xB
Well im the latest victim of this problem... Today at a show my monitors started flickering on and off, and then died.. I can turn one on, but the minute I turn the second one on, they flicker then they shut off... But I noticed the infared emitters are blinking... So they didnt die, their still working, something is just screwy somewheres...
Ok, I'm back again with the same problem, My monitors were shutting off again!!! I knew what that the problem was the control module so I called my warranty into the dealership, they order the part and it came in about a week later, then I brought my car in and they fixed it quickly, replaced the control module again, this one lasted only six months, I sure I'll be back for the same problem, unless scion does something to fix this by substuiting another part or monitor system, visologic keeps breaking, what happens when my warranty runs out and this part only last 6 months?
Keep records of your problems---your state may have a lemon law if the same part keeps breaking. Each RS has its own problems. The RS2 has an exhaust that falls off. Best of luck...........
Hello, my name is travis and I too have a monitor problem. Just took mine to the dealer with the drivers side monitor dead. It will only power on when you unplug the s-video cable under the seat but there is no video feed, the passenger side works fine. They told me that they have to fill out a warranty form from vizualogic to get the parts they need (cough, B.S. cough).
Whatever, I will keep taking it back until they get it fixed or until I can buy an IS350. I will keep track of what is going on and let everyone else know if I found out anything new with our problem.

Funny i have the same issue and one of the guys in my club works for the dealership and is goign to test things out for me. I have everything stock as far as audio and it still happened. No sound changes only lights were added. They just turn off on there on after about 2 minutes. Sucks cause at a show i couldnt even watch a movie...UGH!!!! I will keep everyone posted as well on what the outcome is.
Well i recently addressed this to Michael Kennedy, he is a Manager for Scion, and helps put on Scion Exposed down here in the Southeast, and he forwarded it to Scion Technical and last I heard from him, they are "looking into it". So I hope something comes out of this...
Ok so i have been working with my dealership guys and there is no informatino being passed around to the tech departments regarding this issue. Basically they are just looking into it and that be all there saying.....
I see on a few of these folks keep mentioning the control monitor or something to that sort. Can anyone get me a part number from a receipt and tell me what it is. i will do the leg work and even talk to the BBB (better business brueau) if needed to get us help.

Hey three times around! My monitors are out again, I hate Visologic! They keep saying the control moduel shorted out, but why does this part keep braking? This part only lasted 3 months, and I think I only played 1 movie the whole time it was up and working, I picked this car because of the feature of the dvd system, and in the whole year 1/2 I've had it , the monitors have been broken more than they have worked. I am really upset because now I need to take it back in again, and I can't even get a loner car, so I'm stuck driving a gas guzzler, while they look at it and try to fix the problem again! good luck! We need a Recall, Replace the whole system with something that works, Cause I paid $5K extra for the Release Series and all :I got was a stock Scion!

well that sux alot i def feel you i have a second set in my car and have to find a way to fix the second set since they are replacement only.my first set been working very well and no trouble maybe you got a old one then the one i heard they fixed.
I Call corporate to try and get a fix, and let them know that this problem has been a issue with others as well! If you have had any problem with you monitors before even if the problem is fixed now, Call them and let them know cause from my experience the fix won't last ! Let them know so they can realize that this is a problem, remember that there are only 2200 of the envy's So speak up or this will be over looked! Peaple have replaced the head unit and it hasn't fixed it. They have replace the control module and that hasn,t fixed it, added a amplifer still hasn't fixed it !

I have been having the same prob in both of my RS 3.0's I too have talked to Kennedy at SET and get the "were looking into it" Im going to both of them in next Monday I have the part # Has a TSB been issued yet and does anyone have the # ?

I'm having the same problem with mine I called the hotline and they told me " We don't have any record of this problem". Are you kidding me. I told them of this forum and all the people with the same problem and she told me to just take it to the dealership and let them troubleshoot the problem. The problem is I don't want my dealership, which is Toyota not Scion, to just guess what's wrong since I have the only xB in the whole town.
